EMC testing: proving our DC/DC converters for real-world conditions

It is the point where a design stops being a prototype and becomes a reliable product for real-world operation.

At Guilera, we test our DC/DC converters for electromagnetic compatibility according to UN/ECE Vehicle Regulation No. 10 (ECE R10) in dedicated anechoic chambers.
This ensures that even in demanding electrical environments they do exactly what they should: power critical systems without generating or suffering interference.

The image shows a homologation test session of our upcoming DC/DC Buck converter 48V to 14V – 100A (ref. 054812C100), developed for applications where electrical stability is not optional:

  • Industrial and agricultural vehicles
  • Off-highway machinery
  • Light mobility and special vehicles

During these tests we evaluate conducted and radiated emissions, immunity to external disturbances and behaviour under real load conditions. The goal is simple: the converter must perform the same in the lab as it does in the field, in a logistics hub or on a construction site.

This is how we work:

we validate under tough conditions before we launch.

Because in power electronics, reliability is not claimed. It is proven.
