Guilera reduced its corporate carbon footprint by 17.4% between 2024 and 2025, from 13.945 to 11.523 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂e).
This result follows our participation in the Voluntary Agreements Programme for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, promoted by the Government of Catalonia.
The programme provides a framework for measuring emissions using recognised methodologies, implementing specific reduction measures and monitoring progress over time. Guilera’s assessment covers our offices, manufacturing plant and warehouse in Molins de Rei.

A measured and verified reduction
Guilera’s verified corporate carbon footprint amounted to 13.945 tCO₂e in 2024.
In 2025, it fell to 11.523 tCO₂e. This represents a reduction of 2.422 tCO₂e, or 17.4% in one year.
| Reporting year | Carbon footprint |
|---|---|
| 2024 | 13.945 tCO₂e |
| 2025 | 11.523 tCO₂e |
| Reduction | 2.422 tCO₂e |
| Change | −17.4% |
Measuring these emissions allows us to identify their sources, prioritise the measures with the greatest potential impact and assess the results using comparable data.
Measures implemented during 2025
The reduction results from several measures applied across our operations:
- Introduction of renewable electricity supply.
- Use of renewable fuels in company vehicles.
- Preventive maintenance of HVAC systems to avoid refrigerant gas leaks.
- Regular monitoring of environmental indicators.
- Definition of further energy-efficiency and emission-reduction measures.
These are practical changes addressing actual consumption and operating processes: measure, act and measure again.
Sustainability in industrial operations
Guilera develops and manufactures electronic solutions for the automotive and industrial sectors. Reducing our environmental impact therefore requires direct action on our facilities, energy consumption and manufacturing-related processes.
Sustainability is part of this operational improvement, alongside product quality, reliability, regulatory compliance and supply capability.
Our participation in the Voluntary Agreements Programme provides a structured basis for continuing to measure emissions, set reduction targets and verify the results achieved.
Next steps
The reduction achieved in 2025 is not the end of the process. It establishes a new baseline for further improvement.
Guilera will continue to develop measures aimed at:
- Improving the energy efficiency of its facilities.
- Progressively reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
- Preventing emissions from HVAC systems.
- Reviewing environmental indicators regularly.
- Integrating environmental criteria into operational decisions.
The objective is simple to state and harder to deliver: manufacture more efficiently, use fewer resources and reduce the impact associated with our activity.
